When a tragic accident claims her husband's life, Jesse Santos must find a way to keep the ranch, the only home her 12-year-old son has ever known. The ranch hands have abandoned her, a gang of cutthroat ranchers want her land and an ancient Yaqui Indian insists a spirit has taken up residence in the house.

After a fifteen-year absence, her husband's brother, Coy, returns to his childhood home. He doesn't plan on staying, and he certainly doesn't intend to settle down with a widow and her son…no matter how pretty she is.

He's an outlaw, after all, and made a decision to put an end to his gun-slinging days long ago. Will his conscience let him walk away from family, or will his heart overrule his head?
Praise for COMES AN OUTLAW

"I loved all the components of this story. The Indian lore was probably my favorite though."

"The storyline is brilliant. This novella has many twists and turns. A page turner."

"Diablo has created a set of compelling characters. Jesse captures the essence of the time, when women had very few options, and even fewer good ones."

New Release Tour: Sabotaged Desires by @RebeccaAiries #SciFi #Menage @SensuousPromos @RedSagePublish

Suz Lore thought she had everything she wanted, a job as an engineer and a position on a colony ship headed to another planet. That was before her arranged ménage marriage with Robert Smith and David Bradford turned into a disaster. She’d thought they were building more than a sizzling sexual relationship, but all they do is argue now. She isn't surprised when they're sequestered in a room in order to reignite the passion between them and learn to trust again. Robert believes she betrayed him while David is stuck in the middle of their conflict. Getting Robert to talk about what made him angry is difficult, but they discover there's far more behind their problems than a message with misleading information. A virus has overtaken the ship's computers, put them on a different heading and cut them off from all communication. They must work together to find a way to survive and rebuild their relationship.

Excerpt (Rated PG)

“Because I thought before I reacted to that inflammatory message. On top of that, this isn’t new to me. My brothers somehow managed to develop completely opposite personalities and fought almost every time they saw each other.” David walked over to stand near Susanne. “I also realized that that message could have just as easily been about me.”
“What do you mean it could have been about you?” Suz frowned. Did he mean that he also had someone influential in his family, or was there something else in the message that could apply to him?
“I mean that my family might not be powerful, but my father has a couple of powerful friends. If your friend had sent that message about me, would you react as strongly as you have to her? Or is it simply because you were fucking her, maybe beginning to have feelings for her?” David raised an eyebrow as he looked over at Robert.
“It wasn’t about you, so I don’t know. As for my reaction, there’s nothing to think about. Everything in that note was clear.” Robert shook his head.
“The one fact in the message may have been true, but that doesn’t mean that it was all true. You never asked me a single question. Even when we’re in this room and won’t get out without some type of resolution, you sit there in judgment with only one side of the story.” She rolled to the side of the bed and stood.
Anger pounded through her. Her heartbeat raced and she knew that her face was probably red. She tried to calm down. David put a hand on her arm. His fingers squeezed. When she looked over at him, she saw him smile. She appreciated the support.
“You expect me to believe that you’re innocent?” He raised a brow and the sneer on his lips clearly conveyed doubt and distaste.
As she stared at Robert, her own anger surged forward. Why the hell had he jumped to this conclusion? And why was it so black and white? She was either guilty or innocent. There had to be more than anger behind this.
Her control snapped. This tantrum had gone on long enough. While she understood his initial reaction, she shouldn’t let him continue, even if she had to tie him down and gag him. Something had happened in his past, but she wouldn’t let that deter her. Emotion pushed energy through her clearing away the remaining sleepiness. She rounded the bed and stood in front of him.
“I know I’m not the type of woman you would choose and you’re the last man I’d pick. That’s fine. But if you want answers, if you plan to get out of this damn box anytime soon, you’ll have to ask me the questions. After everything you’ve done, I won’t volunteer any information.”
Both Robert and David looked at her as if they were stunned for a moment. Alright, maybe they had a reason for that. She might not have responded much to any of his baiting earlier, but his continued stubbornness, even when they were in a situation where they had to find a way to fix their problems, infuriated her.
David grinned. “He does take an adjustment to your thinking, doesn’t he? Such a sweet personality, too.”
“What? You’re not going to tell her to sit down and listen?” Robert scowled.

“I’m surprised she hasn’t snapped at you before.” David rounded the bed and stopped next to her. “I don’t think he’s ready to ask any questions, yet. Not the polite way.”

Book Showcase – A Taste of Tragedy by @KimMcMahill #suspense #Romance

Morgan Hunter sacrificed everything for her career. She had yet to encounter anything she wasn’t willing to do to succeed...until now. When she uncovers evidence that the healthy foods she’s been hired to promote may be dangerous, she must reevaluate her priorities. As questions mount and the body count rises, she finds herself caught in the crosshairs of an organization that will stop at nothing to hide its secrets and protect its profits. With no one else to trust, Morgan is forced to seek help from the man she drove away, but whom she never stopped loving.

Excerpt:

Nick made his way to the security offices where Devyn said she would be waiting for him.
“Just in time,” she stated as he walked through the door. “We have the footage about ready to roll from all the cameras from every elevator and stairwell leaving the third floor. Unless she’s still on the third floor, we’ll find her.”
Nick watched over Devyn’s shoulder as feeds came up on multiple screens from different cameras. Since the time frame in question was a small window, they quickly narrowed down the search.
“There. Stop it there,” Nick ordered, pointing to the middle screen. “What’s Morgan doing here?”
“I couldn’t get in or out of the car or drive on my own with the sore ribs, so she insisted on bringing me to the hospital. She left when the chaos erupted, so she should be home by now.”
Nick glared at her and then returned his focus to the paused images. “That person, can you zoom in on that one?”
Devyn’s jaw dropped. The hair color and style had changed, but there was no doubt in her mind that the woman in scrubs, two people behind Morgan in the stairwell was Candace Rogers. She turned to Nick, but he already had his phone to his ear and his back to her.
“Pick up, pick up,” he pleaded. “Morgan, call me the second you get this message.”
Devyn had never heard such panic and fear in her partner’s voice. She should have called a cab and tipped the driver extra to help her in and out of the car. She hadn’t intended to put Morgan in danger, but if anything happened to her, Devyn knew Nick would never forgive her. And she would never forgive herself.
As the feed continued to roll, they watched Candace close the distance between her and Morgan. Devyn could feel the tension in Nick’s body as he stood next to her, but was helpless to ease his fears. After the door slammed shut, they lost visual on the two women.
“Check all cameras that might pick up where those two women went,” Devyn demanded, as Nick tried Morgan’s cell phone again.
“There they are,” Tanner stated as Morgan and Candace reemerged on a camera near the main lobby.
The women were only on camera a second before they disappeared again, but long enough for them to see that Candace was now herding Morgan. By Candace’s posture and mannerisms, she likely had a gun poked into Morgan’s side.
“Where does that hallway go?” Nick asked.
“The employee area, and there’s an employee exit into the garage from there,” offered the security guard running the video playback.
Devyn struggled to keep pace as Nick ran in the direction the two women were last seen. He pulled out his cell, and Devyn could only assume he was trying Morgan’s number again. She nearly collided with his back as he skidded to a stop outside the employee break room and listened.
Devyn pulled her weapon and took up a position outside the door opposite Nick. Devyn nodded when she was ready to provide cover. Nick entered. The room was empty, so he called an all clear to her and she followed him in.
Checking each bathroom stall and shower stall, Nick froze.
“What is it?” Devyn asked.
“She was here.” Nick picked up Morgan’s purse and clothes. Checking her purse and then her pockets, he found her cell phone. “Where did you two park?”
“Just at the end of the row outside this door.”
Nick rushed out of the break room and pushed through the exit, setting off alarms since he hadn’t swiped an employee card, with Devyn at his heels.
“It’s gone,” Devyn gasped as she caught up to him.
For a moment, both agents stood, not speaking, staring at the empty spot where Morgan had parked her car earlier that morning.
Devyn wasn’t sure what to say, but thought she should offer something. As she opened her mouth to speak, Nick held up his hand, silencing her.
They listened for a moment, honing in on the sound of a dull thud nearby. They isolated the sound coming from the trunk of a parked car.
“Tanner, send someone out to the parking garage with a crowbar immediately, and have this license plate run so we know who this car belongs to,” Nick ordered into the tiny mic pinned to his lapel.
He provided Agent Tanner with the car’s license plate number, and within moments, two security guards arrived with a crowbar. “Whoever’s in there, we’re FBI. We’re going to pop the trunk, so watch yourself,” Nick stated.
The pounding stopped, and he nodded to the man holding the crowbar. With one firm push on the crowbar, the trunk popped open. The half-naked woman staring back at them was not Morgan.

Excerpt:

"Wait a minute," Carl said. "What's the matter? Why the sour face?"
For a minute, he thought that she wouldn't answer. Then she looked at him squarely and said, "I saw you. I smiled at you, and you flinched. I know what you were thinking. You were thinking how awful it is I can't have children, and you were feeling sorry for me."
Carl took her by the arms. "Is that what you think?" he asked.
"Of course. You don't have to apologize, or feel sorry for me." She drew herself up. "I don't whine or moan about it now, and I never will," she added fiercely. "Even when I have to go away."
"Go away?" That didn't sound right. "Go where?"
Her face fell. "I forgot … you don't know anything. If you're sterile, you don't count here. I'm just an extra person on Earth. Sterile people are expected to become helpers. We work in schools, hospitals, or as nannies to help. We stay in special housing. I'm almost twenty, so I'll have to go soon." She shrugged. "That way, we don't get in the way of people who can marry and have children. I can't fall in love with anyone. It's forbidden."
Carl just gaped at her. She lifted her chin and looked at him, her expression infinitely sad. "The first time I set eyes on you, Carl Cadet, I thought my heart had stopped beating. You're the handsomest man I've ever seen, and there's something else about you. You're kind. I can tell. There's compassion in you. I kept thinking to myself that if only I wasn't sterile, I could easily fall in love with you." Her mouth twisted awry and she blinked back tears. "But I can't. So if I sound snappish or angry sometimes, it's because I still haven't quite come to terms with having to give up so much."
"I'm sorry." He could hardly breathe.
"Don't be. I'm alive, and I met you. And we're friends. That counts for a lot, doesn't it?" Somehow she managed to smile brightly.
He wanted to say something else, but he was struck by her nearness, by the scent of her skin, and by the way the sun lit up her short, ash-blond hair and made it glow. Instead, he found himself pulling her toward him, cupping her chin in his hands, and kissing her softly on the lips. His hands, he noted with surprise, were trembling.
There was a moment of silence while Ruby stood still, her face tilted up, her eyes closed. She shook herself loose and stepped back. "You didn't have to do that," she said.
